Custom Designwork FAQ
Thank you for your interest in custom designed creations! I know how important the presentation of paper, ink and the designs that brings them together are to you -- I feel the same way!

During the busy seasons, I try to return messages as quickly as I can, but it can take longer than usual/expected. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

What kind of custom work can you create?
Just about anything that can be put down on paper! Some of my most common custom work includes:
• wedding suites, stationery, signage, etc.

• moving/new address announcements
• baby announcements/shower/invitations

How do we begin?
The process of a custom order begins with email with what you had in mind! I love a challenge and welcome all ideas. If you would like to discuss via phone, please email for an appointment. Many of my standard, yet customizable can already be found in the shop with details on how to proceed. Feel free to take a look there first to expedite the ordering process.

What do you charge?
All new drawings, sketches, layouts, and designs not standard to the shop are subject to my $55 an hour design fee. You will be updated with the new total with every proof sent.

When do I send you the wording for my custom design?
As soon as you are ready! Once we've discussed the project you had in mind, all of the wording for each piece will need to be emailed for proofing. We will discuss the typeface/font, and ink color. Customization options for text, colors, and stocks can be found all throughout the shop, or please email me so I can send you the options directly.

Can I see a physical sample of my custom design?
No, you have to place a full order to receive custom design. There aren't any templates used in the studio, every design is made just for you!

Can I see a physical sample of the stocks you use then?
Yes! Feel free to purchase this listing of all the stocks used in the studio.

When do I pay you?
Typically, the total order amount is due for custom orders before I begin any proofing or production. If you are looking at extending the time frame for budgeting purposes, please let me know beforehand and I may be able to start with 50% non-refundable deposit of total order due, with contract. Final payment of any balance is due before shipping your completed order, no exceptions. Please visit the FAQ page for more on payment types accepted.

When do I get to see proofs of my custom design?
After payment has been received, I will begin the design of your custom piece. THREE rounds of edits/proofs are included in any purchase and will be emailed for your review. I have tried to match the colors as accurately as possible, but colors may vary slightly from monitor to monitor. Each additional proof over the initial three are $15 each, so please take the time to review carefully.

When will my item ship?

Please visit the FAQ page for more on shipping terms, and tracking of your order. The timing for a custom project depends greatly on the proofing process and time needed for assembly. We will discuss timing all throughout the custom design process.

Do you offer refunds and / or exchanges?
Refunds will not be considered on custom orders. All sales are final. When placing your order, please keep this in mind. Please realize that you as the customer are responsible for all proofing content. This includes approving spelling, size, colors, alignments, justifications and all other information provided. Please check that your final proofs are exactly as wished as Architette Studios is not responsible for mistakes approved in your finalized proofs.
